After receiving the new GoPro Hutch mount in my Christmas stocking while celebrating in Portland, I hoped we’d have the opportunity for a test run on Mt. Hood. Hood had had a slow start to the season but we were fortunate to have a small storm with low snow levels the week we arrived. Snow conditions were nothing to write home about (write on the internet about?) but we were pleasantly surprised to have a sunny, no-wind day in December high on Mt. Hood. We skinned from Timberline to the Silcox hut and up the Palmer snowfield, and practiced our variable conditions skiing on the way down. Rosie captured the views that day and had herself an awesome time.
