Superior North to South

After a lackluster start, the snow finally arrived to the Wasatch around March of the 2018 season.  A spring storm hit the range in mid-April and Mike D and I planned an early morning trip up Superior for (embarrassingly) our first ski together of the season.

Not generally ones to dawn patrol, the spring sun was sure to wreak havoc on the recent snow so we started in the dark around 6am.  We were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise walk up to the pass.

Plenty of others were out this morning, generally shooting for the iconic south face.  Vibes were strong and stoke level was high on this beautiful post-storm gathering on the mountain.  When we reached the ridge we switched over to some exposed booting

We chose to hit Cardiac chutes for a north facing delight before heading back down the shoulder of Little Superior.  Lil Sup.  Enjoy.
